Friday - Hurrrah 15 ° below. Quite dark all day. When I got home from school found Mr. Brown there. Ralph comes. Tell tries on dresses. Go to Eagle's smoker with Mr. Brown have splendid time. Meet Mr. Bennett and Jack Folley & others. Home at 2 a.m. find fell waiting for me.
Heading towards winter solstice brings about 4 hours of daylight to Fairbanks at this time of year. (3h 49m 41s) and will be about 2 hours shorter on Dec 15. Do remember that because the ground is covered with snow that any kind of light will reflect off of the white backdrop giving the appearance of being light.
